An old, yellowed notebook was found, with a slightly crumpled cover and a coffee ring. Suddenly, amidst the everyday papers, a piece of the past is hidden, where every line smells of guilt and tenderness. You read it and it's like you're going thru that very stairwell again, where arguments, laughter, and an inappropriate "sorry" still echoed. It's funny, but even frozen pizza in the freezer suddenly seems like a living witness to a love that seems tired of waiting. Silence hangs in the air, as sticky as an August nite over Milan – no wind, no stars, just the breath of regret. Everything remained in its place: the makeup bag, the cats, the echo of unspoken words. And somewhere between what was and what can no longer be returned, a confession sounds awkward, belated, but honest. It seems that's exactly what it sounds like when pride loses to the heart.
