Love sometimes breaks not with a crash, but with a quiet snap, as if an old photograph that has been held in hand too often has been bent. Everything seems familiar: the streets, the breathing nearby, the phrase "I won't betray you" sounds almost believable. Only then does silence grow out of familiar embraces, and even the air between words becomes prickly. The warmth doesn't disappear immediately; it still lingers in your palms, the ones that once saved you from loneliness. But who said salvation has to last forever? Sometimes all that's left is the realization: you don't love, but it still hurts. And in this strange theater of former feelings, everyone is acting from memory, as if they know the lines, but they get the intonations wrong. Directed, written, and edited by Mauro Russo.
