Description

This track is like an endless circle, where thoughts cannot find a way out, and each step seems heavier than the previous one. There is a lot of pain, emptiness and despair, but also a little hope that maybe someone can share this burden. Every word conveys the feeling that fate is about to tear you apart, but at the same time you really want to find someone who will at least make this path a little easier. Like a broken mirror that you can't look away from, even if it only reflects scars.

There is everything here: heavy reasoning that not all words are important, and fatigue from the struggle, and that weak spark that remains even in the most hopeless situations. The track is about moments when nothing holds you back, and every step is an attempt to survive. It's impossible not to feel that internal struggle when everything around you seems to disappear, but you still keep moving because maybe someone is waiting.

Lyrics and translation

Original

Pins prick my skin, I lent my coat to you
Riches you’ll win from your fortune
Cities I’ve been seem so open
But I’ll stay here again, cause you want me to, only you
The dead and the dying leave no room for my decline
They send their troops in straight-backed lines to hold me up
My words are nothing more than some strange machination
Left by empty inclinations gone to dust
And would it cause you such pain
To bear my burden for a day or two
Could you
Would you want to?
Rope stretching thin, carry the cost of
Split between home and where I’m off to
And you heard my sins, but there’s no god who
Can leave me like this, I am my fault, its all on me
The dead and the dying leave no room for my decline
They send their troops in straight-backed lines to hold me up
My words are nothing more than some strange machination
Left by empty inclinations gone to dust
Carve this weight
Freeway lanes
Seem to trace around the creases of my ever-showing age
Broken wing
You’re dizzying
To a man like me who’s never seen a single sunny day
The dead and the dying have no use for barren vines
There’s no excuse to leave behind these brittle bones
Your sleeping mind is little more than failed tries
You steal my hope to dry your bloodshot eyes once more
And I’ll show myself out if it matters much to you
I know I’m on my way down soon enough to see
So turn your head too late before I’m even swept away
There’s nothing really left of me to keep
And would it cause you such pain
To bear my burden for a day or two
Could you
Would you want to?
