Description

When in life do you come across something that you can’t always understand - a game or reality? It seems that everything is in these glances and words, but here you are again alone with something that no one will decide for you. And now it’s late at night, and my thoughts are still pulsating like unanswered questions. As if all life is an intersection of different paths, but none leads to where you can be with the one you want to be with. This is the moment when you are ready to give up everything for something real, but you understand that sometimes the truth comes too late. It's like echoes of the past are scattering through the night air, and you're still trying to understand what's going on.

Lyrics and translation

Original

Brown eyes
Don’t know what they’ve been doing around you
Got a feeling she can’t be without you
Or at least she’s saying so
White lies
Lipstick stains growing bold undercovers
Got a feeling I’m yet to discover
All the things that I don’t know
And now, it’s nearly half past three
And you’re alone with me
And now, it’s nearly quarter to four
And I don’t know anymore what this could be
I’ll hold no candle to you
Mr, I am not taking this shame
I might have torn myself in two
If it meant that I could see you again
But now that you’ve met your maker
Baby, would you say the same?
But now that you’ve met your maker…
Long nights, hold my hand start a feeling of trouble
Later on we both know that you’ll double
Back round on yourself
One girl, ain’t enough when the streetlights are blurring
Coming back when I know that you’re hurting
For somebody else
And now, it’s nearly half past three
And you’re alone with me
And now, it’s nearly quarter to four
And I don’t know anymore what this could be
I’ll hold no candle to you
Mr, I am not taking this shame
I might have torn myself in two
If it meant that I could see you again
But now that you’ve met your maker
Baby, would you say the same?
But now that you’ve met your maker…
Ooooohh
And now, it’s nearly half past three
And you’re alone with me
And now, it’s nearly quarter to four
And I don’t know anymore what this could be
I’ll hold no candle to you
Mr, I am not taking this shame
I might have torn myself in two
If it meant that I could see you again
But now that you’ve met your maker
Baby, would you say the same?
But now that you’ve met your maker…
