Description
There are things you want to hide in a box with a lock and a note saying “Do not touch. Too precious.” The same goes for the smell of skin after touching someone, that particular emoji in a messenger app, and a playlist that, for some reason, you understand better than any other. A song is like an attempt to prevent memories from slipping through your fingers. Wrap them in a blanket, tape them with “forever” and “please don't disappear.” Because it's not every day that something comes along that you don't just like, but that finally feels right. A little naive, a little cinematic. But I want it to stay. At least in a song.

Wish I could bottle
This feeling
Your touch on my skin
Keep it from losing
Its meaning
Like it always does
Cause you caught me when I was lost
Now I’ve found what I’m looking for
Something to have
Something to hold on to
That’s something I call you
Something to keep
Something that feels so true
That's something I call you
You, you
Songs I keep repeating
Texts I keep re-reading
The curve on my face
Photos I keep scrolling
Plans I keep remaking
That’s what you are
Cause I never got this far
Nothing could be what you are
Something to have
Something to hold on to
That’s something I call you
Something to keep
Something that feels so true
That’s something I call…
If the world should fall
I might lose it all
For my last wish I’d ask for
Something just like you
Something to have
Something to hold on to
That’s something I call you
Something to keep
Something that feels so true
That something’s always... (always you)
Something to have
Something to hold on to
That’s something I call you
Something to keep
Something that feels so true
That something’s always you
