Description

It's as if I'm stuck somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow, in a strange car, in the back seat - where it's boiling hot, my thoughts are sticky like syrup, and my memory catches errors in high definition. Everything seems a little blurry, like through glass with droplets on it - and in this fog, you want at least a grain of understanding. Or just not to repeat what has already been played out a hundred times. A very quiet track about inner noise.

Lyrics and translation

Original

I've been trying to find a way around the truth
Would it kill to show some empathy?
Take a glimpse around the room
And in the darkest times i long for gratitude
In a million different ways that i could
I woke up in the backseat
I wonder how I got here
I like it when I'm sober
But I hate when things are falling out the picture
I'm looking through an hourglass
Just waiting for the time to pass
Maybe it will fade away
And everything will fade to grey
As we grow apart
I wonder all the time
Would i stay the same
Addicted on a temporary feeling
And in the brightest parts
I wish you’d see it too
In a million different ways that i could
I woke up in the backseat
The sun would shine at 40 degrees
I couldn't find an option
An option to repeat the same mistakes
I'm looking through an hourglass
Just waiting for the time to pass
Maybe it will fade away
And everything will fade to grey
I woke up in the backseat
The sun would shine at 40 degrees
I couldn't find an option
An option to repeat the same mistakes
I'm looking through an hourglass
Just waiting for the time to pass
Maybe it will fade away
And everything will fade to grey
