Que Sensación

Light scent of gasoline and jasmine. The street is humming, the engines are arguing with the bass, and someone is falling in love with the wrong place again. She walks through it as if the whole stage is for her alone, and everyone in the area becomes a poet for a second. Only instead of rhymes there is a cigarette in the teeth and a pomegranate in the heart.

It's funny to think about feelings when the whole world reminds you of more important matters. But still, somewhere under the armor that same “que sensación” appears when your gaze catches you like a bullet and doesn’t let go. Between poverty and dreams, the dust of the neighborhood and the shine of her earrings, a strange warmth is born: it seems to be love, but with an aim and a backup plan in case of a shot.
