It's pulsing somewhere between sleep and a phone call that no one answers. The air is thick, like the anticipation of that very moment when someone promises "I'll be back in a minute" and then disappears into the noise as if they were never there. His voice is translucent, like a reflection in a shop window at nite, and his bass lingers lazily, like thoughts that are stuck on repeat. The music seems to argue with itself: sometimes it calls, sometimes it pushes away, and there's something painfully true in this strange rhythm. It feels like the feeling has burned out, but my hand still reaches for my phone to check if he's texted. It all sounds like the inner monolog of someone who has already realized they've let go... but is still trying to convince themselves to believe it completely.
