Sometimes the phone rings as if it wants to drive you crazy. Each horn is like a reminder that there will be no peace, even if you turn off all the lights and hide under the covers. Someone is asking, someone is demanding, someone is just talking nonsense, but inside they are already cracking from exhaustion. I'd like to turn off the world for at least a day - without blogs, without trials, without news about those who won't return. And amidst all of this, FaceTime suddenly turns on - a little child's face on the screen, and for a second it feels like it's easier to breathe. But not for long. Because the calls are coming again, the work is piling up again, the need to be strong is back, even when there's no strength left. This is music about how hard it is not to break down when life squeezes you into a fist - and how important it is not to lose the little bit that's still keeping you afloat in all the noise.
