It feels like that state when even the air seems thick, like smoke after an argument. It seems like everything is over, but inside, it's still smoldering - familiar, almost cozy. Somewhere at the bottom of my consciousness, the thot pulsates: "Well, so what? I've been thru worse." And it's true - you fall from a height, pick up the pieces, wipe the blood from your knees, look in the mirror, and see the same person, just a little calmer. The music sounds like a heart beating thru a cotton blanket - slowly but steadily. It lacks pretension, only quiet humility and a slight taste of doomed humor: the film will end the same way regardless, but who said you can't watch it with beautiful sadness?
