Description
On the outside, there's a smile, makeup, and confidence that everything is under control. On the inside, there's a tiny fire that refuses to go out. Someone is laughing, someone is kissing someone else, and the heart pretends not to care, even though it's playing its own personal drum and bass to the rhythm of tears and guilt.
This is a case where pride and pain live in the same apartment but in different rooms. One turns up the music louder, the other quietly remembers how it all was.
