Sometimes sadness is like an old friend who still has a spare key to your heart. She comes in without knocking, sits down opposite you, and pours the first drink - “to the love that once was.” The air grows cold, even the birds seem to fall silent so as not to drown out the memories louder than the music.

Somewhere out there, beyond the windows, life goes on as usual, but here, it's a feast for two: a person and their pain. It doesn't go away, it just changes its mask. Today it is tenderness, tomorrow it is sarcasm, the day after tomorrow it is a song in which the words are scattered across the lines like shards of a glass after a toast. And yet there is something bright in this: the ability to love even through fatigue and to forgive without waiting for an apology.
