It seems that there is a special kind of people - mirror people. Those who can only shine when people are looking at them. They twirl around, trying not to hurt anyone with their sharp shards, smile a little brighter than necessary, and pretend that they are not fragile at all. Although inside, a thin thread trembles all the time - between look and don't break.

And even though the lights have long been turned off, the decorations have been taken down, and the audience has dispersed, they still stand on tiptoe, shining with their last ounce of strength, as if the celebration were not over. Not because they believe it. They just don't know any other way.
