Description
Somewhere between Wilanowska and Mokotów, amid tax letters and collectible cards, life goes on in a strangely cozy mess. Here, everything is based on trust and three gold coins in your pocket: a little self-irony, a touch of philosophy, and a decent dose of tax adventures. Instead of heroism, there is a simple “I live as I can”; instead of pathos, there is a joke on the exhale, when you no longer know whether to laugh or fill out your PIT.
The world around us trembles with sarcasm, but underneath it all is a tenderness towards our petty weaknesses. Towards people, towards poverty, towards absurdity, towards the fact that, no matter how you look at it, I still “trzęsę podziemiem.” And let profanity replace meditation, and Dalida sound from JBL - there is a certain sanctity in this careless confession. One that smells of a transport card, coffee from a vending machine, and a slightly worn sense of self-esteem.
