Phantom Sound

Sometimes silence is the loudest thing you can hear. Everything seems to have quieted down, but the walls breathe, the ceiling floats, and every sound carries someone's ghost. The world hasn't collapsed, it's just become softer, as if melted by the morning light. You can hear the breath of someone who is no longer there, and even the air seems to pretend that everything is as it used to be.

There is a strange comfort in this - when sadness does not tear you apart, but embraces you. Like an old sweater, slightly itchy, but beloved. And now you no longer try to forget - you just live with the echo that quietly whispers, “I am here.”
