Those who have already been burned, burned out, and now walk on the ashes of their own feelings - with sarcasm instead of a cape and resentment instead of superpowers. He seems like a bad guy, but only because he tried too hard to be good for too long. Now he just admits it honestly: it hurts, it's unfair, he's tired - and anyway, enough is enough.

There is a lot of heat in this sound - not from heroism, but from internal overheating. The kind where your heart is smoking and your mind whispers, “Let go.” And suddenly everything becomes almost calm - not victory or defeat, just a full stop. Because even those who save others sometimes run out of energy.
