Description
It smells like a child's dream, naive and stubborn, the one where you want to be among the “tall” and important, even if you haven't grown up yet. It seems as if the world is constantly measuring everything with a ruler, and inside you are bursting with the desire to prove that magic exists, but no one has noticed it yet.
The music sounds like a mixture of shame and delight: sometimes it's funny because of your own fantasies, sometimes it's upsetting because reality is not at all superheroic. And yet, these lines still insistently say, “Look at me.” Like a child wearing a cardboard crown who seriously believes that the clouds are holding him in their arms. And that is precisely where the honesty and poignancy that cannot be ignored lie.

Original
Hey, can you hear me from my bed?
Do you know what's in my head?
Did you see me on the ground?
I was brave today, are you proud?
Lately, I've been running fast
So kind to grant what I asked
Just one more thing
Since you hear me loud and clear
Let me be with the tall kids
I will make it worth your while
They will see something in me
No, they won't run a mile
'Cause look at me now, I'm high as a cloud
Just dreaming about the day
When the tall kids wanna play
Do the tall kids wanna play?
Wait
Send the sun to mum someday
God, she hates it when it's grey
Just remember how she laughed
When you sent the sun over last
Do all you need to do first
I don't know how this works
Just after that
Since you hear me loud and clear
Let me be with the tall kids
I will make it worth your while
They will see something in me
No, they won't run a mile
'Cause look at me now, I'm high as a cloud
Just dreaming about the day
When the tall kids wanna play
Do the tall kids wanna play?
Make me magic
Make them care
I'll keep praying
Is that fair?
Oh, make me magic
Make them care
I'll keep praying, mm-hm
'Cause look at me now, I'm high as a cloud
Oh, look at me now, I'm high as a cloud
Just look at me now, I'm high as a cloud
Just dreaming about the day
When the tall kids wanna play
Do the tall kids wanna play?
Do the tall, hm?
