Description
Like an old photo pulled out of a drawer - the corners are worn, but the scent of memory is alive. This song sounds like a memory of two people who were together but, for some reason, were slightly out of step. There are no cries here, only weary breaths; no drama, only a quiet emptiness between words and touches.
The music is soft, almost transparent, like rain on glass. Each chorus is an attempt to hold on to what is slipping away, at least for one evening, at least with the help of a film in which you can pretend that everything is still the same. And there is something beautiful in this fragility: the hope that next time, maybe, it will turn out “right.”

Lyrics and translation
Original
Held you in my arms, wide awake
Shoulder aching
Left you after dark, in the rain
Heart was racing
I see you in my dreams
I'll take another hit
My love, we had an empty garden
You said hold me
When I feel lonely
We're in the middle
But we can't bring it back around
Put on a movie
Act like you love me
Don't say goodnight
'Cause when we fell, I fell behind
And I didn't fight it
And I know you know
I didn't even try
You read my mind
Maybe next time I'll get it right
You called in late that night
Couldn't sleep
Hands were shaking
The way your eyes lacked light
Underneath
Your heart was breaking
I see you in my dreams
The way you feel so real
My love, we had an empty garden
You said hold me
When I feel lonely
We're in the middle
But we can't bring it back around
Put on a movie
Act like you love me
Don't say goodnight
'Cause when we fell, I fell behind
And I didn't fight it
And I know you know
I didn't even try
You read my mind
Maybe next time, I'll get it right
Get it right
Get it right
'Cause when we fell, I fell behind
And I didn't fight it
And I know you know
I didn't even try
You read my mind
Maybe next time I'll get it right
