Broken

It feels as if my heart has been thrown into the night ocean and is floundering there without a lifebuoy. At first, there was a beautiful collision - a spark that promised a flame - and then it was replaced by emptiness and ringing silence. Only one word spins in my head - *broken*. And it's not furniture or a phone screen that's broken, but the most fragile thing inside, the thing that was supposed to be safe.
