As sharp as a shard of glass and painfully honest, the track cuts thru the social facade to the rawest nerves. The whole country is buzzing with it, simultaneously quarreling and sticking together because there's no other way. Each verse is like the whistle of a rocket over the roof: short, cold, inevitable. There's something strangely warm about this chaos, when even fear becomes a habit and prayer sounds like a donation. People argue about politics, about leaders, about "us" and "them," but they still stand shoulder to shoulder when the siren wails. Unity only awakens under duress, but it does awaken.
