Out The Window

Raw pressure, as if the engine started on a cold morning and is not going to slow down. There is little verbal filigree here, but a lot of air from the backyards and a sharp “let's go!”. The hollow beat drives forward, and the voice seems to hang out of the car window - loud, bold, half joking, half serious. Each line is a mixture of streetwise directness and an almost childlike joy at having managed to pull himself out and drag his brother along with him. It came out like a quick sketch on a wall: a little crooked, but bright and with an energy that cannot be mistaken.
