Nocturne

Sleep seems necessary, but why, if the night itself is playing catch-up? The lamp is on, the phone is warming up in my palm, thoughts are spinning faster than the neighbor's elevator. It seems simple: call and it will get quieter. But no, it's more fun to keep the intrigue going a little longer, to hang on the edge between “just a little more” and “now for sure.”

The music here is like the light in the kitchen at three in the morning: warm, almost intimate, promising that it definitely won't be boring. Even if morning creeps up with bags under your eyes, it was worth it.
