It's as if a projector has been turned on inside my head: the light is soft and flickering, the words flow like a mantra, repeating themselves until they completely dissolve into the air. Between the lines, I catch the scent of my mother's pies, a light bulb under the ceiling, and a promise that the future will be brighter than these lights. The music doesn't overwhelm, but embraces, like an overly honest friend who suddenly decides to call you “god” and “love” without any irony. And in this strange combination of holiness and everyday details, there is a feeling that life can be lived more simply if every action is considered a prayer.
