Description

There are cities that seem too cramped to breathe in when you are young. You want to run away, break free, prove yourself to the world and to yourself. And then suddenly you realize: it was precisely this “crampedness” that made you who you are. In every house, every street lamp, and even in the neighbors' gossip, there are pieces of memory that you can no longer escape. And returning there becomes not a defeat, but a kind of postcard to yourself: “Look, all of this is part of you, and you can't do without it.”

Original

Open my eyes, I'm stuck in my head
I'm ruminating over again
Then I remember when I forget
You know I can't lie
There's no point getting stuck in the past
Most days you don't know all that you have
But when it's gone, there's no going back
So maybe this time
Instead of wishing that it didn't end, no regrets
You can send my love with my-
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everything you wanted, well, it's everything you got now
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everyone you love, you hate, it's everything you're made of
Greetings from your-
Last night, I was lying awake in bed
Stuck thinking back to the moment we met
But this one life is the life that you get
(And I can't press "Rewind")
So I embrace what I can't change
Take one deep breath and then turn the page
Can't let this moment slip away
It's the golden age of-
Instead of wishing that I didn't have no regrets
(You can send my loving like-)
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everything you wanted, well, it's everything you got now
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everyone you love, you hate, it's everything you're made of
Greetings from your-
Maybe I can just slow down
Slow down (greetings from your)
In my hometown
Remember me and you, all we wanted to do
Is leave this town and make our way to the city
And bail this town
Ain't it strange how perspective changes?
I finally appreciate this place, this place and I crave it
The same small town
Take me back, yeah (take me back, yeah)
Take me back, yeah (take me back, yeah)
Take me back, yeah (take me back, yeah)
Take me back
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everything you wanted, well, it's everything you got now
Greetings from your hometown
Bringing back what I found
Everyone you love, you hate, it's everything you're made of
Greetings from your home (hey, oh-oh)
Take me back, yeah
Take me back, yeah
Take me back, yeah
Greetings from your-
