Description
Here, the drama is on par with Greek tragedy: love arrives not with flowers, but with a cricket bat, and turns into a mess of reproaches, insults, and broken promises. In one verse, Dorian Gray is behind a closed door; in another, the prayer “Kyrie Eleison” is mixed with sarcastic jokes that have become a confession. The music sounds as if an ironic angel and an evil advocate of conscience have been released onto the dance floor, and both are demanding to speak at the same time. The result is not about tears or anger, but about how scary and funny it can be to try to remain true to yourself in your own storm.
