The Suburbs

The city is noisy, spinning in its doors, and thoughts are constantly trying to rush ahead. But as soon as you leave the highway, everything becomes simple: birdsong instead of sirens, sunshine instead of neon lights, and the person without whom even the walls of your home feel empty. And it turns out that paradise is not palm trees and the ocean, but an ordinary summer, a couple of turns off the highway, and the feeling that there is a place on earth where you can breathe easily.
